jjlindsay1 asked:

This is for any dog behaviorists out there, I have two dogs, one is a Rottie Mix the other is a full Rottie. Both are rescue dogs, Bear, the full Rottie is very dominant. He can be very sweet and is very smart, but he will often challenge you. I got him from a guy who obviously never trained him very well. He does know his basic commands, but you usually have to correct him with his collar before he will comply. The problem of his dominance was recently expressed again when my roommate and I were walking the dogs and Bear charged a couple ladies pushing a baby carriage for no obvious reason. A few facts that may be important. He is neutered but I dont know how old he was when he was fixed. Also my roommate and I are in wheelchairs. We do have experience with Rotties, and our first dog was a wonderful dog who made a great assistance dog and new about 200 commands. But he was trained very young, like from 10 weeks, We got Bear when he was four from a guy who sia dhe didnt have room for him. Everytime we went to go see the dog he pulled him out of the bedroom, now maybe we know why. What do you think? Can he be desensitized to not show aggression to baby carriages? Is he too old to become more submissive and calmer? We live in the southbay. Is there any good trainers out there that are not too expensive that might be able to help?

Womens Sleepwear

Jennifer Waller asked:

If you are looking to buy a new carriage for your baby, be prepared to pay a good sum of money. Prices of baby carriages are not cheap. One will probably cost you between $500 and $1200. This is not to say that buying one is not worth the expense. On the contrary, you will most likely find that having one is well worth it and will make caring for a newborn a lot easier. If these prices fall outside of your budget, there are options for you. Although it is not guaranteed that you will find something, online auction sites, classified sites, yard sales, and thrift stores can be sources of great deals. Shop smart to get the best deal possible.

If you want to see what baby carriages are going for, searching online is a simple way to gauge what you should be prepared to pay. Keep in mind that this is not a small investment. However, if you shop around and keep your eyes open for cheap prices, you may be able to find something for under $500. You may even find something significantly lower than that if you buy second hand. Read through classified ads or rummage through yard sales and thrift stores. If you know parents with older children, they may have a baby carriage that they no longer need. You could offer to buy it from them and help them free up some storage space. It's a win-win situation.

However, if price is no issue for you, you will have an easier time finding what you are looking for. You have the luxury of choosing from a number of different options for your newborn. If you don't have time to drive from store to store, you can always make an online purchase and have your package delivered directly to your home. Since you don't have to go bargain hunting, you will save a lot of time. It is not too hard to find several different carriages online, ready and available for you to buy.

If you can afford $500-$1200, but hesitate to spend that kind of money, keep in mind the benefits that owning a baby carriage has. You will not be confined to your home caring for your new son or daughter. You can take your little one out and not depend on finding a babysitter whenever you need to run errands. Your infant will grow up fast and you don't want to spend his or her first few precious months of life cooped up inside the house.

Although prices of baby carriages are not exactly cheap, they are well worth the investment. It may take some extra work on your part but you could find excellent deals if you are looking to save money. Just think, people will always have babies. If you plan on having more children, you can always use the same carriage for all your kids so think of it as a one time investment. If you are done having kids, it shouldn't be too hard to find someone to sell to and make some of your money back. If you look at it this way, the cost is not bad at all.

I hear

Jennifer L Marshall asked:

If you are a mom, you should check out the top jogging strollers to help you lose the baby weight. This is one piece of baby equipment that will do so many things for you and your baby. It will allow you to get out and about with your baby, get physically fit, enjoy time walking with other moms and babies, and much more! The great thing about them is that they are very popular right now. There are many different types of these buggies, but one of the top ones out there is the BOB Revolution. I was on the fence about whether or not I was going to purchase an additional carriage for my baby, but after I read the online reviews about it and talked to my girlfriends who had a BOB Revolution, I was sold.

I decided to go out and test drive a red and black BOB Revolution jogging stroller at my local Babies R Us store. I loved the way it moved around the store and the way it cuts corners is awesome. I could actually see myself running with my baby in the stroller and thought she would have fun being a passenger in it. I bought the BOB Revolution on the spot and put it in my car. When I got home, I immediately put my baby girl in it and made sure I had a water bottle with me for the road. We set out on our first jog together and it was so much fun! I ended up jogging for forty five minutes and when we got home we were exhausted. But I knew that I had burned a ton of calories and my baby had fun too, and that was what was important.

For the mom who only wants to have one stroller and not several, they make infant car seat adapters for the BOB jogging strollers so that you can use the it even before your baby is old enough to ride in the actual seat. This is because babies need to be able to hold their heads up on their own before they can really ride safely in the BOB Revolution. They even make BOB Revolutions for moms who have twins and triplets. Imagine how many extra calories you could burn with those additional babies! You should buy one today - you have nothing to lose but the baby weight!

jogging strollers

Linda Jenkinson asked:

Parents of twins or two small toddlers don't need to miss out on the convenience of jogging strollers. Many manufacturers make tandem jogging strollers that provide much of the same convenience as single jogging strollers. Pushing around two children also has the advantage of giving you a better workout!

There are two basic flavours of tandem jogging strollers, the seats can be positioned side-by-side or one in front of the other. The biggest problem with the side-by-side design is their width, they may be difficult to manouver around the grocery store aisles.

On the other hand, if your children are seated one in front of the other the one in the back my like to kick and pull the hair of the one in front. This design is much narrower but some parents can't put up with the squabbles that this seating invites. Knowing the temperament of your children will help you to pick the appropriate style.

The other big consideration when buying a tandem jogging stroller is whether the front wheel swivels or not. Fixed front wheel designs are perfect for serious joggers because they require very little effort to steer on long straightaways. When you have to make a sharp turn, however, the front wheel has to be popped in the air, and this can be a major inconvenience in those grocery store aisles.

Swivel front wheels are a good compromise because they can be locked in position for jogging and released when you need to steer around tight spots.

The size of the wheels is also something to consider. 12" wheels are not suitable for rough terrain so if you plan on jogging on grass or gravel get a tandem jogging stroller with at least 16" inflatable wheels.

Other features to look for include storages areas, brakes, and covers. Most jogging strollers have a tray under the seats for carrying extra gear, but you may also need pockets for cell phones, keys, and toys. There should be a hand brake for quick stops when jogging and a parking brake is also convenient.

Some jogging strollers come complete with rain covers while others have them available as accessories. Whether or not you need them depends on your climate and jogging habits.

Post Rumours online

Scott D Smith asked:

The first prams were developed in the eighteenth century for the children of the upper classes. By the 1840s prams (or "baby carriages") had become very popular. Queen Victoria purchased three carriages in Hitchings Baby Store. The basic pram design was evolving and by the 1920s models with new features such as brakes and sturdier frames were available to all families. Although prams are less common now than pushchairs (also called strollers and buggies), there are still a number of UK manufacturers, and some modern designs are classed as complete travel systems, or three-in-one systems. These can be reconfigured from pram to pushchair/stroller, and the baby seat can be removed for use as a carrycot, and sometimes even used as a car seat.

The word pram is short for perambulator. The term is most often used in UK English, in America the term baby carriage is more often used.

The first known design was developed in 1733 by the garden architect, William Kent, at the behest of the Duke of Devonshire. Kent designed a richly decorated, shell shaped basket, which could be towed by a goat or a small pony.

By the 1830s it is known that baby carriages were being manufactured in the US. The father and son team of Benjamin Potter Crandall and Jesse Armour Crandall manufactured and designed carriages, and patented a number of improvements, including brakes, models which could be folded up, and fittings for parasols and umbrellas.

Baby carriages were soon very popular among the upper and middle classes on both sides of the Atlantic. It is recorded that Queen Victoria purchased three from Hitchings Baby Store. Design were heavy, often made of wood and heavily ornamented, and with expensive brass joints. Designs often had names such as Duchess, or Balmoral, showing the association with the upper class lifestyle.

By the twentieth century prams were more of an item which could be afforded by every family. Safety improvements were added such as brakes, lower and more sturdy frames and larger wheels. Sprung suspensions were also added during the twentieth century, but there was also a trend toward simpler on-sprung models, with a detachable carry cot body.

The push-chair, buggy or stroller started to become more popular than prams in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1956 the aeronautical engineer, Owen Maclaren, invented the collapsible buggy design, which many parents find to be more convenient than the full sized pram. Maclaren is of course now the company name for one of the buggy manufacturers.

Some modern buggy designs now allow the child's seat to be adjusted so that the child is in a lying position, rather than sitting. In some cases the body can be turned round so that the child is lying and facing the parent.

Although traditional prams and baby carriages are now less popular than buggies there are still some UK manufacturers. The Silver Cross brand has been made in Yorkshire since 1877. At various times the brand was manufactured in Hunslet (Leeds), then in Guisely, and now in Bingley.

Homebrew Keg

Jennifer Waller asked:

If you are a new parent and have decided to buy a baby carriage for your newborn, this article may be very helpful for you. We will go over buying tips for baby carriages. Some of the things you will want to consider are safety, price, where to look, and other features depending on your needs. By the time you are done reading, you should have a clear idea of what you want so shopping for one will be a snap.

Any new parent has a strong instinct to protect his or her child. Your biggest concern will most likely be safety so keep this in mind while shopping. Look for brakes that are easy to operate. It is best if the brakes are on two wheels. If you plan to use your carriage to take your infant on shopping trips, it would be convenient to look for one that has a basket for carrying bags and packages. You don't want to hang things off of the handles as this can cause tipping. Also, remember that when your son or daughter begins to sit up, it is time to graduate to a stroller. Carriages don't offer much in terms of restraints so an active baby may fall out easily.

The next thing to consider is your budget. Shop around for something in your price range. A simple way to do this is to perform a quick search on an internet search engine. You will find a number of different price points so that you can decide how much you want to spend accordingly. You may also want to take a trip to your local department store or specialty baby store to see what they have to offer. If you are looking to save some money, check out outlets, yard sales, or thrift stores. You may be able to find a great deal!

Once you have the practical stuff figured out, you can start to look at fun extras and less important features. Depending on your tastes, carriages come in a wide variety of colors. You may decide to go with a basic color like black or brown. If that's not your style, you may want to go with bright orange or yellow, or maybe a soft pink or blue. You may want to look for adjustable handle heights to make switching carriage pushing duties from mom to dad easy and comfortable.

Keep these buying tips for baby carriages in mind while shopping and you should end up with something that suits both your and your newborn's needs. Above all else, look for safety features to ensure that your little one stays safe. It is worth it to shop around so you don't end up overspending. If you know what you are looking for, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out where to look. There are many types baby carriages out there so you are sure to find one that you will be happy with.

Womens Sleepwear
